Cacao Chia Pudding with Strawberries and Cacao Nibs
I made dessert for breakfast again, so clearly I’m over here living my best life and ending the week of C on a high note. This was the perfect treat after a kick ass yoga class this am.
Cacao – has many nutritional properties, long story short, it may improve blood flow, mood and skin. ‘nough said. Though I just learned this morning that women in their 3rd trimester shouldn’t have cacao in powdered form as it is extremely concentrated and has not so great effects. She is the fertility expert!
Cocao Nibs – I ❤️them. Crunchy, dark, rich chocolatey bits that are high in the fiber, iron, magnesium & antioxidant categories. They also help the brain release serotonin, the feel good hormone, so essentially eating these is like taking a deep breath and doing yoga.
Cashews – nutrient dense little dudes, good for eye health, good fat, not as high in protein as some other nuts.
Chia seeds- a good source of omega 3 fatty acids, which are and also high in fiber which helps sweep out the crap from your body.
🍫1 cup nondairy milk(I made cashew)
🍫1/4 cup organic chia seeds (I used @nutiva)
🍫2 tbsp cacao (I used @navitasorganics)
🍫1 tbsp organic maple syrup
🍫1 tbsp tocos (I used @sunpotion)
🍫1 tsp maca powder (I used @navitasorganics)
Mix all ingredients together, refrigerate overnight. Top with strawberries and cacao nibs.
