Packed with all the macronutrients (fat, fiber and protein), micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), fiber and probiotics, this is essentially a perfect meal. Okay, that’s lofty, but it is an easy, healthy, filling, make ahead warming winter breakfast.
1 cup @califiafarms non dairy plain drinkable yogurt
1/4 cup organic chia seeds
3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
2 Tbsp ground cardamom
Juice of half an orange (about 1/4 cup)
Zest of one organic orange
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of sea salt
Whisk kefir, orange juice, zest, spices, maple syrup and vanilla in a bowl. Add chia seeds, stir to combine. Refrigerate for at least an hour or overnight. Top with toasted pistachios and bee pollen if that honks your horn.
