🍌1 banana
🍌3/4 cup almond milk (I used @califiafarms unsweetened origins)
🍌1/4 cup coconut water (I used @harmlessharvest)*
🍌1 tbsp organic virgin coconut oil 🍌1/4 cup rolled oats
🍌1/4 cup cooked chickpeas (yep, I realize it’s a little weird, but so am I)
🍌1 tbsp Maca powder** (I used @navitasorganics)
🍌1 tbsp Tocos*** (I used @sunpotion)
🍌1 tbsp organic hemp seeds
🍌3-4 deglet dates (remember to remove the pits. It’s not a pleasant experience to forget. You hear your blender do things you can’t unhear)
🍌3-4 ice cubes
Blend:) *you can use all almond milk and no coconut water if coconut water is not your jam. **Maca is a root that hails from Peru. It’s got a slightly nutty flavor and goes well with smoothies or oatmeal. It’s said to be mood boosting, potentially act as a sun screen and enhance energy. ***Tocos looks like sawdust, is related to vitamin E and is part of the hard shell that surrounds rice. Sounds weird, but it’s good for the skin. So, I’m in. It bulks things up and gives things a creamier texture. Some people like it in coffee. I’m not part of that in crowd.
